Long Cold Winter

But what FUN we've had!! Skiing and Snowshoeing are our favorites, but plenty of people have been ice fishing, sledding, skating, snowboarding and more.

The deer are now coming in regularly and are really yarding up. We have anywhere from 3 - 20 at a time. The turkey's are also coming in like crazy. We have them in the yard and can hear the gobbling as if we were surrounded. They are up on the deck every once in a while pretending to be finches (at the bird feeders) but we chase them off. What a sight! We have turkey prints all around the house.

Joe keeps calling for new pictures here and I'm waiting for him to figure out how to put up his own. One of these days he'll get to writing a post too, then you'll know why I stay away from it. He can really write.

The house is coming along. By next winter we'll have the lower level done and be ready for guests. I can't wait, it is coming together so well. Better than we could have imagined.

And tonight - we hear coyotes outdoors. Neighbors a few miles down the road (near a field) say they hear them regularly, but this is a first for us. We have heard owl's before and I LOVE to listen to them as we fall asleep.
